What I'm doing these days
I work as a mainframe operator at a financial institution. The title is an operations title, but most of my work is building: internal tooling for the team, automation to replace manual processes, and side projects on my own time.

Full-stack
A monitoring dashboard the operations team uses day to day. Django and Django REST Framework on the backend, SvelteKit on the frontend, PostgreSQL underneath, deployed behind a reverse proxy with role-based access control.

Production scripts in PowerShell and Python that replace recurring manual processes, integrated with the job scheduling infrastructure.

Side projects
LumiAura is the long-running one — SvelteKit, a Next.js API, Stripe, and a server I administer myself. The rest usually start because I wanted to try something.

About
How I got here
I graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso in December 2024 with a Computer Science degree and a Software Engineering concentration. Before that I interned at Steele Consulting building full-stack web applications in C#, .NET, and Angular, and mentored high school CyberPatriot teams across El Paso on Linux and Windows hardening.
I started as a mainframe operator at a financial institution in August 2025. The role is operations, but a lot of it turned out to be work I could write software for — so I did. First automating the recurring manual tasks, then building the internal tools the team now depends on.
That is still how I work. Most of what I build is full-stack: a Django REST backend, a SvelteKit frontend, and whatever scripting the problem needs. I build the same way outside of work, which is where LumiAura came from.

- Mechanical keyboards. Creamy, tactile, linear — just not clicky.

- Not chasing one big thing. I just like building.
